Hummingbird Necklace

This glass hummingbird necklace was inspired by the fascinating aerodynamics of these smallest of birds.  The body was created with dichroic, a very sparkly material that the photo doesn't do justice. For the wings I used pieces of real silver that I turned to smoke and captured in the glass to get a three dimensional wispy look.

This pendant is available on a black necklace for a casual look or on a silver chain that really brings out the sparkles.
